Mom appreciated taking the arm of one of us as we walked on the rough stone roads of the old parts of each city we visited. She amazingly got stronger every day of the trip as stairs in Italy tended to both go up and down, and nowhere was ever flat. Mom often wondered how old people manage in this country.
Ruth a apprecie de prendre le bras des uns et des autres alors que nous parcourions les vieilles rues pavees de chaque villes que nous visitions. Elle devenait plus forte chaque jour, grace aux escaliers omnipresents. Comme elle a decouvert, rien n'est plat en Italie. Elle se demandait souvent: "comment font les vieux dans ce pays?"
