Unfortunately, though not a great military value, Dubrovnik was severely bombed during the conflict in 1991. You wouldn't know it now, other than for different roof tile colours, as international aid was ample as the old fortified city is an UNESCO historic site and the reconstruction of affected buildings started immediately.
Malheureusement, malgre le peu de valeur militaire, Dubrovnik a ete severement atteinte durant le conflit ien 1991. On ne le croirait pas maintenant, ne serait-ce que par les differentes couleurs des tuiles des toits, car la communaute internationale, choquee qu'on attaque un site historique UNESCO, a genereusement aide et la reconstruction des batiments affectes a commence immediatement.
