Hawai'i

On the 14^th, Terry’s mother and Josianne joined us for one week for the over 45 coed tournament Terry and Josianne were participating in with the Yukon team.(women they recruited only had to be 25 years old.) It turned out to be a very fun week-end, but the heat was quite a challenge. The Yukon team (“Lead Dogs”) had 2 games back to back in the middle of the first day. Despite the men dropping like flies in the second game with some heavy cramping, they recovered on the second day to take home a trophy (they tied for third place of 5 teams, one of which had to go home early, but whatever). Between games, we found time to socialize with the other Yukoners.

Le 14, la mère de Terry et Josianne se sont joints à nous pour une semaine pour le tournoi de soccer mixte auquel Terry et Josianne participaient avec l’équipe Yukon. Ils étaient de la catégorie des 45 ans et plus (les femmes devaient à peine avoir plus de 25 ans). Ce fut un très beau week-end, malgré la chaleur qui paralysait nos joueurs «mûrs» de crampes pendant la deuxième de deux parties coup sur coup en plein soleil de midi. Les «Lead Dogs» ont récupéré le lendemain pour remporter le trophée de troisième place (partagé avec une autre équipe après le départ d’une autre). Entre les parties, nous avons trouvé le temps de socialiser avec les autres Yukonais.
