Arne reunion July 6-8 - La reunion Arne du 6-8 juillet

In July took place the first Arne reunion in 40 years. Terry’s mother is the 4th of 6 children born to Ingwald and Astrid Arne, both immigrants from Norway in the early 20th century. Most of descendants were able to make it, from Australia, France, Yukon, Ontario, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Alberta and British Columbia. Only a few teen agers who had to stay home with summer jobs and 3 frail remaining elders were missing. It took one year to organize, and it paid off, it was a great success.

La première réunion Arne en 40 ans a eu lieu du 6-8 juillet. La mère de Terry est la 4eme des 6 enfants de Ingwald et Astrid Arne, venus s’installer en Saskatchewan de Norvège au début du 20 siècle. Les descendants sont venus d’Australie, France, Yukon, Ontario, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Alberta et Colombie Britannique. Seuls 3 ados qui devaient rester a la maison avec leur job d’été et 3 des agés survivant manquaient. Après un an de préparatifs, ce fut un grand succès.
