Le mariage de /Jesse Musial's Wedding

For the Thanksgiving week-end, we, Josianne Terry and I, went to Edmonton for Jesse Musial’s wedding. Jesse is the son of our good friends Fred and Kathy. He married a woman from Camrose, whom he met while studying at Uvic. They are really beautiful, and it was very emotional, at many levels. When the bride arrived (by horse carriage driven by an old friend) and walked down the aisle, he couldn’t hide his pride, stepped down and gave his mother in law a huge bear hug. He had the whole church moist eyed. Meanwhile, the bride was very composed, joking with both the groom and the pastor. The chapel is an old one at the end of their land that is now used only for special occasions. Man, I love weddings. That one will be hard to beat.

Pour l’action de grâce, Josianne Terry et moi sommes allés à Edmonton, au mariage de Jesse Musial, le fils de nos bons amis Fred et Kathy. Il a épousé une femme de Camrose (Alberta) qu’il a rencontrée à l’université de Victoria. Ils étaient très beaux, et c’était très émouvant, à plusieurs points de vue. Quand la mariée est arrivée, dans le carrosse d’un vieil ami, et qu’elle a descendu l’allée au bras de son père, Jesse n’a plus pu contenir sa joie, et est descendu embrasser la mère de la mariée. Tous avaient la larme à l’œil. La mariée, quand à elle, était très relaxe, blaguant avec le marié et le pasteur. La chapelle était tout près des terres de la mariée, et ne sert aujourd’hui que pour des occasions spéciales. J’adore les mariages, et celui la sera dur à battre.
