Was quite a week-end. Friday the 15th, Terry was invited by the minister of education to accompany him and a grade 6 student to the launch of the Space Shuttle that will take place in August. He was ecstatic. The same evening, we were on our way to Atlin for the week-end. We stopped on the way for a lovely picnic, and we ended the evening by going to a dessert and music night at the local cafe. All in all, a great day.
Then, saturday morning, the water we ordered to fill our holding tank arrived. It took 4 1/2 minutes to fill the 800 gallons. Just as it was full, I noticed a very small trickeling leak. 5 hours later, we had drained the whole thing. It turned out we got a factory defect tank. The house was build around the tank, so it was quite desastrous. We are now waiting for our supplier to come over and weld it. Here I am sponging the last of the water.
C'était tout un week-end. Vendredi le 15, Terry a été invité par le ministre de l'éducation de l'accompagner ainsi qu'un enfant de 6ème et sa mère pour le lancement de la navette spatiale en août prochain. Il était enchanté. Le même soir, nous allions à Atlin pour le week-end. C'était une belle soirée et nous nous sommes arrêtes en route pour pique-niquer. Arrives a Atlin j'ai surpris Terry en le sortant au café local ou on jouait de la musique. C'était en tout une belle journée.
Puis, samedi, nous avons commandé de l'eau pour la citerne, qui n'avait jamais été remplie. 800 gallons en 4 1/2 minutes. Malheureusement, dès qu'elle a été remplie, un petit filet d'eau coulait dessous. 5 heures et demie plus tard, nous l'avions vidée. Notre citerne, autour de laquelle la maison a été construite, est défectueuse, et coule. Quel désastre. Notre marchand doit venir la souder d'ici peu. Me voici épongeant le fond.
